“I haven’t played tennis before”
No worries! Many players began their tennis journey at the Club.
Our head coach, Eros Angeloni, together with his qualified team, provides tennis coaching for players of all ages and levels of experience—even if you’ve never held a racket before!
Rackets and shoes are available for hire at the club, and we can provide advice on selecting the right tennis gear for you.
“I’m too old for tennis”
Certainly not! Tennis offers numerous health and social advantages and is suitable for people of all ages. In fact, several of our members took up tennis in their 60s, and we are proud to boast active players in their 80s. We offer both individual and group coaching sessions tailored for beginners of any age.
Competitive play & tournaments
We help organise singles and doubles matches for players of similar skill levels.
Additionally, we have set up a dedicated WhatsApp group to let players find practice partners and arrange matches (click to join).
Tournaments usually take place in the spring and autumn, featuring various categories such as men’s singles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and pro-am. To stay informed about upcoming tournaments, make sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
Junior tennis
There are weekly group tennis lessons for children aged 3–16.
Children’s coaching takes place in groups of 6 to 12, mixing drills and exercises to develop all aspects of a young player’s game. We also include competitive play and fun games, making it a rewarding and effective way for young players to pick up one of the world’s greatest sports.
For those who prefer one-on-one learning or wish to develop their skills further, we provide smaller group and individual coaching. Additionally, we run tennis camps during school holidays.
International community
The Club is a home to a vibrant and welcoming international community. There are multiple groups of players speaking English, German, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Polish, Russian and other languages. We would be delighted to introduce you! Plus, there’s a dedicated WhatsApp group for organising matches and finding practice partners (click to join).

Travel planning
Nearby accommodation
Currently, there are no hotels within the Altea Hills urbanisation itself; however, houses or apartments are available for rent through platforms such as Airbnb, Fotocasa, and Idealista.
The closest hotel is SH Villa Gadea, which is just a 5-minute drive from the Club.
A range of accommodation options can be found in the two nearest towns, Altea and Calpe, both of which are a 10-minute drive from the Club.
Altea vs. Calpe
Altea and Calpe are neighbouring towns in the Alicante region of Spain, each with its own unique charm and appeal, and our tennis club is located almost equally close to both towns.
Altea is known for its quiet and artistic old town, featuring whitewashed (“Santorini style”) houses, narrow cobblestone streets with art galleries and craft shops, and the iconic blue-domed church perched on a hilltop.
Calpe, by contrast, is larger and offers a more vibrant atmosphere with its expansive, bustling beaches, numerous restaurants, and lively nightlife.
Both towns make for fantastic holiday destinations and offer excellent accommodation choices.
